My apologies
Sorry to all of you that have had to endure my many posts, I was at a Scrapbooking retreat all weekend. But mainly I apologies for my bad sentence structure and writing skills. I love doing the digital scrapbooking and would love to just leave it at that but I am trying to work on my journaling skills.

Casa Bonita
I grew going to Casa Bonita and remember it being such a fun place to go to. It has change alot. The kids still had a fun time though.
Here is Big Bart's hideout. It's a cave that is sort of like a small haunted house that you walk through. Notice in the picture above how Tyler and Tyrel are having Kaitlin go in first. They even had me go in before them.

Trip to Denver August 2010

We were so lucky and were able to go to the “Egg & I” for breakfast every morning while we were in Denver. This picture of Derick, I just love it. The expression on his face looks the same as the Scooby Dooby Doo on his T-shirt.

Pickin' Raspberries

While were up the mountains for Labor Day we rode the 4 wheelers over to a hillside full of raspberry bushes. The little kids pretty much ate all that they picked but we always ended up with a good size bowl of them. They were used in breakfast pancakes and I had them on my ice cream, it was delicious.

Last of Girls Camp 2010
We had such an wonderful fire side at young women's camp. One of the talks they told us, was about a story of a soldier in the war and how he was at an old women's house and she had this painting of the Saviors hands and it had all of these names written on it. She told him that whenever anyone would come to visit and were having struggles she would have them sign their name on it and give the Savior their worries and whatever they were struggling with. So they had a painting there at camp and let everyone go up and put there name on it.
On the morning that we left, everyone got a balloon & we wrote down what a goal of ours is that we wanted to accomplish throughout this next year.

Date night with my boys!
I love it when my boys ask me out on a date. Tyler wrote me a letter asking me if I wanted to go out on a 4-wheeler ride and then left a blank piece of paper and an envelope to write my reply on. So we headed off and explored the farm roads around Leamington.
We came across some corn fields being watered. I have always wanted to run through those field sprinklers so this was my chance without being seen by someone on the road. So we did it together on the 4-wheeler. Tyler couldn't believe that I wanted to do that and was pretty excited to go through them with me. The water was pretty smelly but it was fun.
We came across a farmer dumping a load of barbwire and Tyler stopped to help. There are always so many pretty things to see out here in the country.
Derick was next for a date. He had earned two free ice cream coupons at YM so he invited me to go share one with him. He drove me over to Lyndyll on the back roads. We had a great visiting about school.

Camp Courage July 2010
The theme for Girls Camp was D.O.T.S or Depend on the savior. Each camp had to pick a knight to have their ward represent. Our girls chose Joan Of Arc. We had to make a banner and a shield to bring to all the gatherings.
Set up camp.
Each camp had to make a Knight for their camp. We had a certain amount of time and items provided to make our Knight.
Of course the girls have to prank someone so during the first night the Trailer I was staying in and the Bishop's truck got Seran Wrapped?
We played a game called "I go not dots" You play it by establishing a beat by clapping your hands, hitting your legs and snapping your fingers. While you do this you have to say, "I got no dots (or however many dots you've been given) how may dots does__________got?" and then you keep repeating it. When someone makes a mistake or says the wrong amount of dots that they have they get a dot of lipstick on their face. Lots of fun!
I'll be back with more pictures later.

Bear Lake... At the lake
I think that I'm almost done scrapping the pictures from Bear Lake. We had such a good time there to obviously there are lots of fun pictures. These are all from our time down at the lake. The kids had a great time. The water was surprisingly warm.
I've always liked the pictures of families jumping in the air so I had the kids do that for me. I think it turned out quite cute. Tyler sure got some air. Well the kids thought that they needed a picture of me do it also so I gave Derick my camera. I wasn't even sure if I would be able to get of the ground but I did! Once I landed my feet slid inside my shoes and on my rear end I landed. But at least I tried!
Kaitlin and her Uncle Sean had a love hate relationship at the lake. Sean had a blast dunking and pouring sand on Kaitlin's head. Kaitlin wasn't so sure how she felt about it all but she sure wasn't shy about giving it back to Sean, so she deserved what she got. It took days although getting all the sand out of her hair. Notice in the pictures how Tyler is just grinning ear to ear watching Sean torture his sister.

Richardson Family Reunion
My Mom's family was in charge of the Richardson Family Reunion this year. It is held every 3 years. We had family come from Colorado, Nevada, Montana and Utah. It was the Brothers and Sisters of my Grandpa Richardson. We held it in Leamington at the Town Hall. It was super hot that week so alot of time was spent in the water or in front of a cooler in the Town Hall.
Of course there was plenty of food to eat and it was all delicious. One of the nights we cooked marinated turkey, corn on the cob, dutch oven potatoes, salad and home made Rootbeer
We arranged for the Fire truck to take the kids on a ride they had a blast and all got badges and hats.
All ages enjoyed playing corn hole. When my parents were in Ohio on their mission, there were Corn hole tournaments everywhere. It's quite a popular game back east.
We rounded up tubes for everyone to float down the river. I got in and got back out. I'm such a chicken (on a side note though, I went down with the kids this week). It was a good way for everyone to cool off.
My Mom had all the instructions and materials to play the games from the show "Minute to Win it". We had a great time. It was fun to see everyone out there being silly.
Watching Greg and Barbie do "Junk in the Trunk" was probably my most favorite to watch. Man can they move their hips. I was surprised to see Greg move so good!!!

Even Uncle Wilber and Aunt Marge joined in the fun.
All in All we had a wonderful reunion despite the heat. It was fun to see family members that I have never met or it has been decades since I've seen.
