This was Tyler’s first wrestling meet ever. I think that I was more nervous than he was. He did a great job even though he didn’t win any matches. He has some great friends that are on his team and we are looking forward to many more tournaments.

In between getting Derick to and from play practice everyday, I have a lot going on. Lori and I have our first Scraps-N-Pieces home show tomorrow in Elk Ridge. We are so excited about it but also anxious to see how it goes. I hope very well! Then on Saturday we are doing a craft fair in Delta. So we are busy getting labels and pricing and everything else ready for both shows. This is a big step for both of us but we are hoping for the best.

While we were in California, we of course had to go to Sea World. We saw the penguins, went to the Dolphin show and by far my favorite was the Shamu Show. It is just amazing that those huge animals can get their bodies out of the water. The kids, Grandma and Grandpa went early to save seats and much to not my surprise, they were right in the middle of the "Splash Zone". I was the only one brave enough to sit there with the kids. I did however take my shoes off and sit on them because I knew that I did not want wet shoes. We got lucky, or should I say, "I, got lucky", because the people in front of us came prepared with a plastic thing and held it up right at the right time.

This was such a fun birthday party. My Mom and I made the aprons and embroidered each of the girls names on them. I made the chef hats and let each of the girls decorate them as they got to the party. The girls colored a shrink plastic frame that we put a picture of the group in for each of them. They had a blast decorating their own birthday cake. So much fun!
Tyler had the most awesome game the other night! His team played GOLD which has been the undefeated team. The first time Tyler's team played them they were beat by two touchdowns. Well this game they beat the Gold team 32 to 14. What a fun game! Tyler did a great job protecting the quarterback. Tyler always makes sure he knows where we are in the bleachers. I love it when he gives us a thumbs up during the game.
I'm just going to back up a bit and start from the beginning our our trip.
Tyler thought that the Buzz Lightyear ride was great! That was I think the only one he rode by himself. It was like you were inside a huge video game. Each spaceship had a gun and you would try to see how may X's you could shoot while going through the ride.
Kaitlin and I went over through Pixie Hallow while the boys went on the Monorail. We walked in and we were the size of fairies. Everything what giant to us, flowers, toadstools, grass, everything!
Here is our final picture of the day. We were exhausted! The kids all got hats with their spending money. Next time we will make sure that we can spend more that one day there. But we had a great time!!!
The end of last year I found out that Disneyland was doing a project called "Give a Day, Get a Day". You had to sign up early and then they would give you a service project to work on as a family and then you got tickets for one day to Disneyland. I knew that this was probably the only way that we would get there. So in January, we found out that our service project was from "Project Linus". We each had to make a blanket and then send in with a picture of us doing the project. That was it! We saved up money so that we would be able to afford the trip. And what even made it more special was that Grandma and Grandpa Evers got to come with us too.
I'm not much of a thrill seeker so I was nervous that I would chicken out on the rides and not have any fun with the kids. But I did good!!! I didn't chicken out on any of them. Indiana Jones, I think was my favorite. Kaitlin got in line with us, but the closer we got the less she wanted to go. She had heard all sorts of different stories from kids and had convinced herself that she would die. We had to talk her into staying in line and told her that she would hate herself if she didn't go on the ride. She screamed the whole ride, but didn't die. She said that she wasn't going to ride it again. We got fast passes for everyone else but her. By the time we went to ride it again she had decided that she really wanted to go again so Kirk gave her his pass. It ended up being her favorite ride also.

"It a Small World" is one of the lamest rides but also one of the longest so it's great to rest your feet. Plus cold air blows on you around each corner.
The kids had to appease their mom by going on the "Kiddie" rides. I was so excited to ride on these because they were what I remembered most when I went to Disneyland for the first time. They still were alot of fun. Derick always ended up alone on the rides because Tyler and Kaitlin wanted to ride with Mom or Dad on the rides.
Fun, Fun, Fun!!!!

This is Tyler's first time playing on a football team other than flag foot ball one year. He is having a blast. He comes home excited from his practices and is very proud of his "war wounds". He is playing Center for his team and thinks it's pretty neat that he gets to touch the ball on every play. He had me put MARCHANT on the front of his helmet because he thinks it's cool to be called by his last name. On the back of his helmet he put FINISH STRONG from a book that Kirk got him.

This week has started of super busy. Kirk and I went up North on Monday to Tuchanos (sp) for dinner. If you haven't been there it's a Brazilian restaurant and they come to your tables with meat, veggies, and pineapple on spits and cut off pieces for you. Lots of fun and plenty of food. We were also able to get some shopping done for our upcoming trip.
Kaitlin is taking piano lessons and is doing a great job. We decided to wait as far as clogging goes until we know a little more what we are doing with ourselves. She has adjusted to the move so great and has made lots of friends.
