I know that this first one if very random/late but it's done.  We had such a great time at my parents for our Christmas party.  Tyler told a story, Kaitlin did a beautiful job singing, Polar Express', When Christmas Comes to town.  Even though she was terrified.  Sean sang a tribute song to Lori and made us all cry.  Derick sang the Hanukkah song and Jaron did an awesome job holding the pictures for everyone to see.  Of course there was too much food but it was all very yummy.

Kaitlin is now officially a "TEENAGER".  She had a party with her friends and did "Just Dance 4",  played games and had treats.  It was so much fun!  She has such fun friends.
Derick's school did a new dance this year.  It was called the El Cheapo Dance.  They weren't supposed to spend over $20.00 for the entire date.  Derick asked his date by texting her because that was the cheapest way he could think of to ask someone out.  He had two of his friends and their dates group with him.  For the Day date, they played Wii games and board game.  For dinner they ate hot dogs, mac-n-cheese, capri sun, and jello cups. They also made matching shirts for each of their dates.

Every year, the school, Bone Voce, choir does a Valentines dinner/ concert.  It was so nice to be able to listen to both Derick and Tyler this year.  We had a great dinner too!  Derick did a duet with Savannah Styler and sang a solo for one of the songs.  It was a great evening

My Friend, Melissa and I surprised our girls, who are best friends, with a surprise overnight outing.  We had told the girls that we were going to go up north and just go out to eat.  They were surprised when we got there and had there bags packed in the trunk to stay over night.  Melissa's parents live in a condo up in SLC during the week so we were able to stay at their condo which is right next to Temple Square.  We walked to dinner at the Lion House, then went over to the new City Creek mall and did some shopping.  Then we walked back to the condo and and did facials and painted our finger nails.  The next morning we had breakfast and then went and got our eyebrows done for the first time.  That was alot of fun.  After that we headed down to American Fork and did a little more shopping, had lunch and headed home.  We had so much fun surprising these girls and they were so happy.  I love making memories like that.

SURPRISE!!!!

A while before Derick’s Birthday, he and I were talking and he was telling me how birthdays are, “Just another day, and not very fun anymore.”  Well I was up for the challenge of Derick having a birthday to remember.  So I messaged one of Derick’s good friends, Brooke, and asked her if she would get me a list of people who Derick would want at his party.  So I invited them all through Facebook privately so that Derick  wouldn’t see.  There were a few hiccups along the way because of play practice and a concert that most of them were in that night.  But we were able to get him to the party without him even having a clue.  Thank goodness that he had practice all the time for the play.  I was able to make vinyl mustache’s,  cupcakes, a photo booth and props and a Mustache guessing game all without him knowing what I was doing.

This is the invitation that I sent out to everyone via the internet.

Homecoming Dance

Derick asked Brooke to homecoming by wrapping a big candy bar with paper and a Willy Wonka label on it.  Inside the wrapper was a Golden Ticket.  Derick wrote on it asking her to the dance.  He then had Willy Wonka  give her the bar and Mike TeaVee  gave her a kiss on the cheek saying, “that was from Derick”.  Brooke then answered him back with this:

Brooke is Golda with Derick as Tevye, in the upcoming play “Fiddler on the roof”.

They started their day off with a day date of “Chopped”.  Each team drew a number and that was the bag that they got.

Bag 1:

Ground Beef

Ranch Dressing mix

Dinner Rolls

Bag 2:

Marinara Sauce

Can of Biscuits

String Cheese

Bag 3:

Wonton wraps

Cream Cheese

Raspberry Pie filling

Then they all went to the store with a $10.00 budget to get anything else they wanted for their items.

Surprisingly, they all did excellent.  I got to taste test everthing.

Willy Wonka the Musical

In July, Derick, as one of his Sterling Scholar projects took on the task of directing a children’s theater.  So he picked a play, held auditions, selected parts and then directed almost 50 kids from 8-14 years old.  I was a lot of work and he put in hours upon hours directing and making sets, with the help of a few other students and his Family of course.  Then on September  14 & 15 the cast performed it for the community.  It was awesome!!!!  To everyone’s surprise, there was a packed auditorium.  He will be donating what he earned minus expenses to the Schools Drama and Music department.Willy Wonka (2)Willy Wonka (3)Willy Wonka (4)Willy Wonka (5)Willy Wonka (6)misstiina_pattern_vo31misstiina_pattern_vo31Willy Wonka (9)Willy Wonka (10)Willy Wonka (11)misstiina_pattern_vo31misstiina_pattern_vo31Willy Wonka (14)Willy Wonka (15)Willy Wonka (16)Willy Wonka (17)Willy Wonka (18)

Football Season!

2012 Tyler Football 1

Tyler has been playing on the Delta Highschool Freshman team.  He plays both D-end and Center.  He does a great job too!  Unfortunately most of the schools that they have played don’t have a Freshman  team so they end up playing their Juniors and Sophomores.   They really have a good team and do a good job.  So far they have won 1.  But win or loose, I love being able to be there for each and every one of his games.  Rain or shine.  He started the season out as 66 now he is 89.

Here is a link of him play center against Richfield.

The blessings of the Temple

2012 July GrandmaEversTempleWork

In July, we had the privilege of doing my Grandma’s temple work.  Kaitlin was able to be baptized for her by my Dad and then Lori, Brett, Andrea and I were able to do her other temple ordinances ending with sealing her to my Grandpa and Grandma BB.  What a wonderful day.

Church History Trip

I’ve been putting of posting these pictures until I had the whole trip done but I haven’t had the time to get the others done.  So I will share the couple that I do have done.

To start of with, my wonderful parents took all of us kids and our children on a church history trip to Missouri and Illinois areas.  We drove out in three cars and met Kirk, Sean, Brett, Andrea and Jaron in Missouri.  We had a good time driving out there with the kids despite a horrible dust storm just before  we got to Colorado.

I may fix the order later to be accurate, but this is a layout that I did of our visit to Adam-Ondi-Ahman.  What a beautiful/sacred place.  I really loved the feeling that I felt there as we walked around.
