Willy Wonka the Musical

In July, Derick, as one of his Sterling Scholar projects took on the task of directing a children’s theater.  So he picked a play, held auditions, selected parts and then directed almost 50 kids from 8-14 years old.  I was a lot of work and he put in hours upon hours directing and making sets, with the help of a few other students and his Family of course.  Then on September  14 & 15 the cast performed it for the community.  It was awesome!!!!  To everyone’s surprise, there was a packed auditorium.  He will be donating what he earned minus expenses to the Schools Drama and Music department.
