Spring Stuff

We took the kids up to Salt Lake to visit Temple Square.  We haven’t been there since the kids were quite little.  We had such a great time.  We started off going to the Church history museum.  There were all sorts of pioneer artifacts and an area that had displays about each of the prophets.

We also went and watched the Joseph Smith movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial building.  They had changed it since the last time we saw it.  It was great.  What an amazing man Joseph Smith was.

We went to both of the visitor centers.  The kids all enjoyed visiting with the sister missionaries there from countries all over the world.  Derick was even able to talk to a Sister from Germany.  He would love to serve a mission in Germany.  Temple Square 1

Kirk and I headed to the Provo Temple on Tuesday to go through a session there.  They were in need of couples to do Sealings so we decided to do that .  What a wonderful blessing it is to be able to be proxy for those who didn’t have the chance to go through the temple.  We sealed husbands to wives and then children to their parents.  There was  a sister there in our group that was able to to the temple work for her Mom.  I’m so grateful that Kirk and I were able to be married and Sealed in the Temple and that our children were born under the covenant.  I’m also grateful that I am able to go to the temple and do this great work for those who have passed on before receiving the blessings of the temple.2011 Provo Temple   Kaitlin had her Spring Dance Recital on Thursday.  She did a wonderful job!!!  She has learned so much since first starting dance. and she also has a great group of girls that she dances with
