Day 5, Church Historical sites. Johnson Farm

On Sunday, what better thing to do than to go to the church historical sites around Kirtland. First, we went to the Johnson Farm, where Joseph and Emma lived for one year.

This is where Joseph was pulled from his bed at night and tarred and feathered. The next morning he preached to the congregation at church where the 4 men who tarred and feathered him attended. Three of the four were later baptized.

Many revelations were given to Joseph during his stay at the Johnson Farm. The inspired translation of the bible was done here.
